Our home providers are self-employed caregivers who have a contract for service with our agency. The maximum number of daycare children in each daycare home is five, including the home provider's own children who are under six years of age. The home providers, most of whom are mothers with years of experience and have a positive attitude towards childcare, are carefully selected, trained, monitored, and supported. All home providers and adults residing in the homes must pass the criminal record check and medical assessment before children are placed in the homes. The home providers also receive support, training and guidance through the agency's regular home visits and on-going workshops.
Each home provider works side by side with a home visitor who assists the provider in planning programs and in ensuring safety and quality care for the children, and acts as a liaison between daycare parents, children, and provider.
